Insulation Monitoring Device

The Insulation Monitoring Device (BKI) is designed to be mounted into mining electrical equipment (compact stations and control stations) and start-protective equipment with voltage 0.6–6.3 kVAC and frequency 50 Hz and is used to monitor insulation resistance in electric circuits connected to the electric switchboard.

Functions

• real-time monitoring of insulation level in each connection, whether powered or not, using LCD;
• reclosure delay;
• configuration change using keyboard;
• alarm signal caused by lowering of insulation below specified limit typical for normal operation;
• storage and transmission of monitored parameters (“black box”) and setpoints.
